"We had an amazing trip out to Catalina over Super
Bowl Weekend. All the upgrades and maintenance that were done down at the
Mikelson facility are greatly appreciated.
The new Marklon enclosure is crystal clear and easy to
use. The vents on the smoked glass make all the difference in the
world when it comes to keeping the bridge cool with fresh air.
The new bait tank system ran flawlessly over the 2
days it was in use. See the attached picture of lobsters that where kept
very much alive for their trip back to port. Sunday morning we woke up to
12.1 volts on the house batteries. It was refreshing to have plenty
of battery capacity. The bottom paint, through hulls, and packing all looked
good during an under water inspection of the hull. We achieved excellent
fuel economy with the new bottom paint and clam water conditions.
It was also nice to watch the Super Bowl while on the hook
at Catalina. We even had a Sea Gull come in to check on the score. I was
pleased to watch the second half of the big game from the bridge on the
Garmin screen. The Fusion Stereo provided perfect surround sound for a stadium
effect. Radar overlay on the Chart Plotter on one side and Super Bowl on
the other. It was the best combination ever displayed while underway.
